Māramatanga Indigenous Psychologies Seminar with Dr Carrie Clifford & Dr Elle Brittain
Dr Dr Carrie Clifford (Kai Tahu, Waitaha, Kāti Māmoe) is a Clinical Psychologist working for Te Rūnanga o Toa Rangatira and an esteemed Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga Fullbright scholar. She is passionate about the ways psychology and Māori cultural practices can contribute to healing and promoting intergenerational wellbeing for whānau. She is joined by Dr Elle Brittain (Ngāti Kahungunu ki Te Wairoa, Ngāti Rakaipaaka) who is Acting Co-Director for the Centre for Indigenous Psychologies in 2024, Clinical Psychologist, and Lecturer at Massey University.
Their presentation from 19 September 2024 is titled: 'Moving forward - Māori participation in psychology: Reaching our higest peaks… We’re still climbing the maunga.'
